Benefit Concert for House of Compassion

A benefit concert, featuring Russell Braun, an internationally acclaimed baritone, who has performed with the COC, the Met and European opera houses, was held at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church on the evening of October 25th 2007. Russell Braun was accompanied by his wife, Carolyn Maule, Pianist, in an eclectic program which ranged from classical solos from oratorios to spirituals to familiar songs such as Danny Boy and and Ivor Novello songs.

Larry Larson, Trumpeter, also performed as did the Yorkminster Park Choir, under the direction of William Maddox. The church auditorium has splendid acoustics and glorious sound filled the air. Nearly six hundred people were present to enjoy a wonderful evening of music. The board members of House of Compassion thank all those who contributed their time and talents to this very successful fundraising event and all those who supported it financially.
